Competency 3: Apply Critical Thinking to Inform and Communicate Professional Judgements
Throughout my academic career I have practice the Generalist Intervention Model in and outside the classroom. Through rigorous training I have developed an eclectic knowledge base. My volunteer and work experiences has allowed me to gain practical experience working with individuals, families, and organizations. Integrating liberal arts into my practice has allowed me to become a more effective problem solver , critical thinker, and well rounded individual. I learned from Professor Hampton how to identify micro and macro variables that have shaped contemporary family lifestyles. This knowledge has given me to better understanding of families. I recognized the importance of being open minded, nonjudgmental, and knowledgeable. I will provide several examples and evidence of how I have effectively applied critical thinking to inform and communicate professional judgments.
