In field practice I have used the Generalist Intervention Model (GIM) to engage, assess, plan and implement interventions, and evaluate. I have provide case management and coordinate services. Throughout my case work experiences I have empowered individuals, recognized and utilize individual strengths, and use resiliency as fuel in the planned change process. I have uniquely implement the GIM model in various settings. I provided case management and education for parenting and pregnant teens. As a Intern with Birthing Project I facilitated group sessions with mothers and daughters to improve communication and health relationships. While working with Sister 2 Sister program I provide case management and taught life skills to parenting and pregnant mothers transition out of foster care. While Interning with G-paradigms I have assisted foster care youth in the planned change process by helping to prioritize problems, translate problems into needs, establish goals, and specify action steps. I have also worked with MNPS students and families to reduce truancy by conducting home visits, using interviewing skills, and creating attendance plans. I have used my code of ethics to resolve ethical dilemmas, used gender sensitive practice, advocated, and enhance my recording skills.
